ABOUT THE ARTIST

Cheryl Freeman is an award-winning contemporary acrylic artist whose work features vivid imagery. A native Texan, her work is inspired by the spirit of the southwest and brought to life with bold colors, patterns, and textures that interplay the abstract with the realistic.

Free spirited horses, flowers and succulents, and birds and other wildlife are all brought to life with bold compositions.  Cheryl expresses herself primarily with acrylic and watercolor, but also enjoys mixed media creations. Her style is inspired by artists such as O'Keeffe, Van Gogh, and Klimt.

Her work has been showcased in numerous juried shows and displayed at several universities and businesses.  Cheryl also works with private collectors to create unique commissioned pieces.
